Hello everyone, I just finished a money league fantasy draft.
Head to head, 12 team league.
The categories, which seem pretty ridiculous are as follows:
R, 2B, 3B, HR, RBI, SB, BB, AVG, W, L, CG, SHO, SV, K, ERA, Quality Starts.
The weekly head to head matchup is decided on a ONE WIN BASIS, which greatly affected my draft strategy. I wanted to have certain categories that I felt were easily winnable simply because many managers would overlook them, such as doubles and triples and average, each of which I think I'm in good position to win every week. All I need to do is win a majority of the categories per week and I get the win.
So, without further ado, here is my team:
C: Joe Mauer
1B: Albert Pujols
2B: Howie Kendrick
SS: Stephen Drew (double and triple machine)
3B: Mark DeRosa
LF: Carl Crawford
CF: Alex Rios (same as Drew)
RF: Nelson Cruz
BN: Carlos Guillen
BN: Adam Jones
SP: Felix Hernandez
SP: Scott Kazmir
SP: Jon Lester:
SP: Aaron Harang
SP: Wandy Rodriguez
SP: Kelvim Escobar
SP: Ben Sheets (I want to kill myself over this one. Totally blanked on his injury and picked him in the 14th round or so, thinking I was getting a huge steal.)
RP: Joel Hanrahan
RP: Joey Devine
RP: Kevin Gregg
Yes, I know my RP's are terrible, but saves is only one category out of 16 or so, and I'm willing to sacrifice it on a weekly basis.
I'd really appreciate some feedback from people who've actually read and understood my league settings and how they affected my overall strategy. I seek advice on trade strategy, strengths and weaknesses, or whatever you have.
I'd be happy to help anyone that helps me.
Thanks in advance to everyone.
