I just got done with another draft

what do you think?

10th Pick

C=Yadier Molina 21
1B=Chris Davis 5
2B=Brandon Phillips 3
3B=Alex Gordon 15
SS=Stephen Drew 7
OF=Josh Hamilton 1
OF=BJ Upton 2
OF=Lastings Milledge 12
UTIL=Carlos Delgado 10
BN=James Loney 16
BN=Mike Aviles 13
BN=Adam Lind 17
BN=Adam Jones 18
BN=Hank Blalock 20

SP=Jake Peavy 4
SP=Dan Haren 6
RP=Bobby Jenks 9
RP=Kerry Wood 11
P=Francisco Liriano 8
P=Mike Gonzalez 14
P=Paul Maholm 19
BN=

Dropped Loney for Kuroda, since Loney was a mistake pick I was eyeing Conor Jackson. I know my pitching is slightly weak but I wanted pitchers with good ERA and WHIP, and decided on a 3 closer staff since I do not have a elite closer. I am eyeing other catchers like Salt, Suzuki, Shoppach and Clement as replacements for Molina since catching is pretty easy to come by Pierzynski and Hernandez are available as well.

leave a link and I will comment.

Looking at the roster, I was going to say drop one of Blalock or Loney for pitching. It's nice to have backups at every position, but I thought you needed at least one additional pitcher. I'm not even sure if you need Blalock, since Davis should qualify for third, you have Gordon there, and you have Delgado backing up at first, so he really wouldn't get a whole lot of playing time on your roster it seems.

I wouldn't go with Salty until the logjam in Texas clears up, and I'm not a fan of Suzuki. I'd go with either Hernandez, Shoppach or Clement (in that order, Clement may have some growing pains).

well Loney is gone for Kuroda, and Suzuki is the only one with at bats and should hit .275 15hrs and I was Targeting Pablo Sandoval as my C/1B/3B backup and might still stry to get him since I am not too high on Delgado I can throw Lind or Sandoval as a Util and drop Blalock for another Pitcher

pick up sandoval if he qualifies for C. I think you need more power especially in a 10 team h2h. you have a lot of 5 tool guys so look at packaging two of them up and improve on that.

besides that...i think your pitching is fine.

Thanks for the reply.

Nice job.

Is John Baker (Fla - C) available? It looks like he'll be batting 2nd for the Marlins between Maybin & Hanley and is typically way under the radar in most drafts. I'd rather see you pick him up and hang onto Delgado. [You could always slide Davis over to 3B, move Gordon to the bench, start Delgado, and play to your needs out of the Utility spot.]

I was looking at that option too, (not with baker) but there are plenty of options available on waivers for catchers when needed, plus I have Blalock who could be my later in the season waiver guy when i need to stock up on a stat, I like at least 1 mediocre player to drop when needed instead of sitting there wondering who to drop when a great becomes available on waivers, last year in the 1st week a guy dropped Adrian Gonzalez when he wanted to drop Ryan Garko and I picked him up for Dave Bush, and then trading Gonzalez to the person who dropped him for Hanley ramirez lol

Thanks for your thoughtful comments.

It seems like you already have a good handle on your strengths and weaknesses. Your hitting lineup looks to have balance. I'm not a fan of playing Chris Davis at 1B ... it's not really getting the most value out of him. Though it does give you an out if Alex Gordon doesn't produce like you hope (sliding Delgado into 1B, and your best bat on the bench into Util). Catcher is really weak, but you're making moves to fix that. Your top 3 starters are really good, and if Kuroda was the best on the WW that's a good move (4 SPs seem a bit short to compete in H2H). The closers will do for a 12-team league.
