Standard 5x5 roto KEEPER league. Who to keep? WHIR

Postby Mateo de Lorenzo » Tue Aug 16, 2011 5:37 am

So, I am in the process of dismantling my team and rebuilding for next year.

Here are the players I currently have that I can keep. Again, the number in parenthesis is the draft pick round I lose. I can keep up to three. I am not asking who I should keep, but rather who should I keep on my roster right now to see how they perform down the stretch and in spring training. Pretty much, who has good keeper value. Those without good keeper value will be traded (Morneau and Choo) or dropped.

To help make the determination, the league is twelve teams and I have two 1B keeper (Freeman, Belt), and two OF keepers (Tabata, Delmon Young), 3B Lonnie Chisenhall and and SP keeper (Jamie Garcia). Rosters allow for five outfielders, a CI and an MI. I am considering dropping D. Young)

JP Arenciba (27)
Angel Sanchez (20)
Ty Wiggington (20)
Yuniesky Betancourt (22)
Zack Cozart (20)
Jesus Guzman (20)
Brandon Allen (20)
Shin-Soo Choo (1)
Travis Snider (11)
Eric Thames (20)
Yonder Alonso (20)
Justin Morneau (1)
Trevor Cahill (4)
Gio Gonzalez (6)
Jeremy Hellickson (24)
Mike Montgomery (20)
Jeff Niemann (27)
Drew Pomeranz (20)
Javvy Guerra (20)
Fernando Salas (20)
Josh Beckett (5)
Jacob Turner (20)
Adam Wainwright (14)

So, who should I drop to add a prospect with more keeper value?

All who live a link will receive my input in return!

Not to be rude but you can drop damn near anybody on your team. Seeing as you only keep 3, I would add Harper, Trout, Jennings, Lawrie, Hosmer, Trumbo, Jesus Montero, Moustakas, or any highly rated prospect that is still unclaimed. Montero should see some time in Sept. Trout could start the season at CF for the Angels next year. I don't expect to see Harper till June call ups in 2012 at the soonest. Lawrie, Hosmer, Moustakas, and Jennings will all have everyday spots high in their respective lineups.

I drop Wigginton, Betancourt and Angel Sanchez to pick up Jennings, then Lawrie, and then Trumbo (if these players are availbale - they're not in my league but then again I have two of them haha) Thanks for the help on mine!

All of those are already taken. I will try to compile a list of prospects available. Thanks for the input.
