Year # 1:

The league will have a live draft on yahoo.com to select players for there Major League roster which will be a 25 man roster.

NOTE: After we have finished the live draft picking our Major League roster, players that are eligible to be picked in the minor league draft are NOT allowed to be picked up off Waivers or as Free Agents UNTIL we have finished the minor league draft.

NOTE: If you draft a player in the Major League draft that is eligible to be sent/demoted to your minor league roster, they must stay on your Major league roster until June 1st.

Minor League Rules & Roster Info:

Only players that are under 150 At Bats or 50 Innings Pitched in there career are eligible to be on your minor league roster.

Once a player goes over those limits, you have one week to promote them to your major league roster or release them.

The league will have a 5 round Minor League draft after the major league draft. The 5 round minor league draft will be held on a message board.

NOTE: Players that are still in college or high school are NOT eligible to be picked in the minor league draft.

Each team will have 8 roster spots for there minor league rosters.

The first 5 roster spots are for players that you pick in the minor league draft. The extra 3 spots can be used for minor league players that you trade for or pick up off Waivers or as Free Agents during the season.

NOTE: When you promote or demote a player from your minor league roster, it must be posted on the yahoo message board. Please, keep your minor league roster updated when you promote or demote players.

Example: Team Name promotes OF Jay Bruce to major league roster/majors or Team Name demotes SP Clay Buchholz to minor league roster/minors. When you demote a player to your minor league roster always include there career ABs or IPs in the post.

Using the example above it would look like this: Team Name demotes SP Clay Buchholz to minors 22.2 IP

2009: 5 round minor league/ Free agent draft
2010: 5 round minor league/ Free agent draft

Trading:

There will be a trade committee that will vote on all trades that are completed in the league. The trade committee will consist of 4 or 5 members from the league. If 3 members of the trade committee vote to veto the trade then the trade will be vetoed. Members of the trade committee are/will be expected to be fair when reviewing each trade. If not, they will be replaced by someone else.

Sportsmanship:
Trash taking is perfectly fine but make sure you keep it clean. Anyone that is caught cheating/collusion in the league will be given a warning or kicked out of the league.

OFF-Season # 1:
Each team will keep 25 players for there major league roster. Each team will keep all players on there minor league roster that are eligible.

The Commish,

Credit here goes to team Wild Things. Thanks!

To help everyone understand the minor league rules better:

To avoid any confusion, minor league players with "no MLB experience" are eligible to be picked up in minor league drafts or trades. In the minors draft, each team selects who they wish to have; regardless if on Yahoo or not. During the season, no player without MLB experience can be added to your roster until they acquire MLB experience. This way, you prevent teams from "hoarding away" prospects.
You trade a minor leaguer then that spot remains open until the next minors draft.
