Re: First ever in-person draft, did I do ok?

Bump. Any other thoughts on my team? Bump 2: Electric Bugaloo Any thoughts, praise, criticism, whatever, is definitely appreciated. I'm especially interested in this league because it's not only my first in-person draft, but it's the first year we're doing this for money, so of course I'll take wha...

I don't know how healthy Lowell is going to be, so keep an eye on him. You may need a different 3B until A-Rod comes back (and even if A-Rod comes back, keep an eye on him because who knows how he'll be knowing he needs more surgery come the offseason). Your average may be a bit lower than I'd usual...

Re: How Does My Team Look? I'm Nervous!

**Take this with a grain of salt, because I usually stick with 5x5, occasionally 6x6 (and rarely, as in this is the first year I've done it, 7x7), so I'm not used to this many scoring categories. Maybe I'm talking out of my [expletive], so at least wait until you get a second opinion before you do s...

Re: 10 team h2h

I hope you mean Ryan Zimmerman. In a HTH, Beltre is going to kill your team. There has to be better guys than him. I'd draft Lastings Milledge before I would ever consider using Beltre. Wieters is a nothing right now as he is starting at AAA so you will need to start Pierzynski, but could be a big ...

Re: New poster - Can I get some input?

Even if you needed speed, if Holliday is still out there, you probably could have afforded to wait at least a round, maybe two before you grabbed Ellsbury. Power comes at a premium in drafts, because once the power is gone, there's no a whole lot available later. Speed is always available at the tai...

I've gotta be honest, I have no idea what you're referencing here.

Re: How's my team look? WHIR

I might've been wrong about Dye (he'll probably be around .285 or so), but with Napoli, I'm not looking for anything close to .275. With him, I figure anything above .250 is a bonus. Hart was awful in September, so as long as he doesn't go into stretches like that this year (I wouldn't be surprised ...

Re: How's my team look? WHIR

I was thinking of taking a flier on Escobar, but everyone's forgotten about him, if I really want I can just pick him up later in the season, maybe when I drop someone I can scoop him up and put him in my DL spot, then go ahead and pick up whatever replacement I was going for. But I digress... Phill...

Re: Rate my new team! WHIR

Your offense seems pretty balanced, and yeah, your power is mainly in the infield, your outfield is mostly speed. Nothing wrong with that, as long as you get power and speed somewhere, it doesn't matter where. I think the top of your rotation looks pretty good with Hernandez and Nolasco, but with yo...
