Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey

Whoever that correspondant is, he should know what he's talking about before he opens his mouth. He keeps stuttering and forgetting what he's supposed to say.

BTW any Jays fans out there think the main announcer sounds like Tom Cheek?

Gracias.

Yeah he does sound like Cheek.

Shame that he didn't get the HOF award this year. :-t

He looks the same to me as he has in the past. I saw his last at bat and it looked ok. He fought off some bad pitches and worked a walk from a 1-2 count. If he can start hitting to the opposite field again it'd be a great sign.

I woke up at 1:50 to watch the game (went to sleep at 9:30 AM :-o )...Obviously I wasn't happy with the offensive performance of either team, but I'm glad to see the Pirates shut out the Yanks after the 1st and only allowed 3 hits! ;-D

In fact, I can't remember seeing the Yanks get a single hit in the time I watched (from the 3rd inning on) - maybe one, but that's it. :-]

Hooray for Baseball! ;-D
