This is a pretty good team for a 12 team league. It's a great team for a 20 team league. But in an 8 team league? You're in trouble.
Chad Cordero and Zach Greinke won't keep you competitive in saves. Your starting pitching isn't great. Your offense has power and some speed, but they won't hit for average. And they aren't good enough to blow the other teams out of the water in an 8 team league.
I'd agree with AA, you are in trouble in an 8 team league. You have only one closer, and a second rate one at that. You do have some power and speed, but average is questionable. Your starters look pretty good, and clayton and walker won't be worth much. The main problem is your quality should be alot higher in such a shallow league. See what is on the waiver wire. There has to be some upgrades you can make that way.
Hey guys, thanks for the input. I agree that I need to make some changes to my pitching staff. position by position though, I have at least the top three best playerrs in the infield. Maybe i can use them as bait to get some depth in my staff.
You're infield is good, but only Tejada is the top at his position. At 1b, I'd take Pujols. At 3b, A-rod. At 2b, Soriano. Or were you saying that you've got a top three guy at each position, which is probably true.
I also think that Larry Walker, though he's not getting any younger, can still be a valuable bat in the heart of a scary StL lineup. Or rather, you might want to try and sell your opponents on that rationale
Yeah, this is not an all star team pick. This my team I drafted. Right i would of taken pujols but he was already drafted....duh. I have made some trades to get more pitching. Thanks for all the input guys, I really appreciate it.
