Which combo would you rather have?

I'm gathering opinions on which combo you'd rather have out these three. I'm thinking this how it might break down draft wise for me. Standard H2H league, #8 pick, 12 teams, no keepers.


Manny(1) & Prior(2)

Santana(1) & Teixeira(2)

Big Unit(1) & Sheffield(2)

Ok heres how i look at it:

Manny(1) & Prior(2) : This is alright, manny is a beast, who knows about prior and whether he will dominate or not. this is your second best option.

Santana(1) & Teixeira(2): Santanas nasty, but why teixeira in rd 2, u sure there wouldnt be a better option.

Big Unit(1) & Sheffield(2: As a sox fans this hurts to say, but this combo is nasty. I had a variation of this last year and it worked out nicely(scheff, schill). But the injury risk is x2 with these guys. Plus their yankees... and honesty, it would suck to have your two best guys be yankees. So hard to root for...

Tex is probably interchangable with another bat. I just threw his name out since alot of mocks I've seen have him going kind of early.

I went with Santana and Beltre last night, thinking 'hmm...I LIKE Tex but there's a bunch of 1B out there'. As it turned out, I kept punting and punting and punting 1B using the same logic and ended up w/ Paulie Koko at 1B...

Dont you think you might be able to pick up on someone like Prior on the 3rd? Me I prefer 1-Manny 2-MCab 3-Prior.

For a keeper league Santana and Texiera otherwise I'd say go with Unit and Sheff

I don't see Prior getting down to the third round...I'm in Illinois though...lot's o' Cubs' fans...

I like the Santana-Tex combo (although I'd like Santana-MCabrera better).

Thanks for the input. I'm thinking I'll grab either The Unit or Santana then just grab the best bat I can on the way back up in round 2.
