Anybody draft in an NL only league yet?

Postby chinch sacs » Wed Mar 02, 2005 10:10 pm

Where did the top 5 closers go in the draft?

(i.e. Gagne, Wagner, Lidge, Izzy, Benitez)

Compared to the next tier of closers?

(i.e. Hoffman, Mota, Kolb, Looper, Mesa :-P )

Anytime you have a 50/50 choice between two players, 90% of the time, you'll get it wrong

haven't done an NL draft, but did an Al draft. not sure if it will help you at all, but maybe the same principles will apply, just different names :-b this is for a 12 team league.

anyways, closers went....

mo - 1st pick of 2nd round
k-rod - last pick of 2nd round
foulke - 5th pick of 3rd round
cordero - 8th pick of 3rd round
nathan - 9th pick of 3rd round
dotel - 3rd pick of 4th round
percival - 5th pick of 4th round
guardado - 2nd pick of 5th round
ryan - 4th pick of 5th round
takatsu - 9th pick of 5th round
baez - 1st pick of 6th round
affeldt - 5th pick of 6th round
wickman - 6th pick of 7th round

this may be of no help to you, maybe it will give you some kind of idea, or at least give someone else some insight on an AL draft.
