I agree with all the assesments and would add this...

Kaz Matsui has moved to 2nd and will have a good year, I think he will step up significantly and will provide steals.

Corey Patterson will step up this year and steal a bunch of bases.

Pierre is another who will steal a bunch and his average will be good as well.

I think that trade makes a lot of sense.
I'm skeptical about Renteria stealing 20. He's going to be hitting from the 2-hole in front of Manny and Ortiz. No need to send runners in that lineup.

The Red Sox don't traditionally run much either I think Renteria is now a bit overrated and has slide back a bit.
