He was my ace in my AL-only league. ugh.

I've since traded for Harden and RJ.

I'm sitting Moose against Tampa Bay. And I'm sitting him till he pitches well two games straight.
I'm back. Sorta.

Do not boo Johnny.

Sounds like he lost some juice on his fastball. Been clocked as low as 86 mph. Used to be in the low 90's. 91 is top of the charts for him right now. He was just dropped in my league, maybe a guy to take a chance on. ;-D

I wouldn't hesitate to pick him up if he was dropped.

Consider this as well: the Yanks next five series are against the anemic offenses of the Rays, A's and Mariners. He should get fours starts in there counting against the Rays tonight.

I have Mussina as my #2 starter and Sheets as my #1 !+) That coupled with a powerless outfield have me mired in last place. I've been trying to trade Mussina for a power bat but have been unsuccessful in my attempts. What power hitting outfielders do you feel would be an equal trade for Mussina?

I just see with my own eyes his poor performance this year coupled with an overall poor 2004 (which apparently would have been worse if not for a hot last few months)....then I see he is 36 and not even topping 90 on the radar gun...it just isn't worth the wins to me. I'd take a Jake Peavy anyday.

As for not being in the top 25 ranked pitchers, I could easily name 25 guys I'd rather have and probably 25 starters too.

One other negative on Mussina is the sad, sorry state of the Yankee bullpen. He may be left in too long or have wins turned into no decisions. :~(
