That and the Japan trip made for a rough start.

He's a top 20 starting pitcher for sure.

so how would you guys rate moose realtive to someone like peavy?

I have schmidt, oswalt, mussina as my top three. I am having a real hard time pegging his worth. I think as a number three he is fantastic, but I have a little fear.

He is an amazing number 3....you have nothing to worry about.

Regarding Peavy vs. Mussina....Peavy will have better overall numbers, but Mussina should have more wins. I'd take Peavy over Mussina, as I'm sure most would.

Hate to bump up a thread like this, but Mussina has been pitching like WW fodder. The entire Yankee team is in a slump so hopefully that is part of the reason for his bad start.


Anyways, he pitches against Tampa tonight. If he has another rough outing then I am going to be really worried about him.

He is my #4 starter.

I'm in the same boat as you...he's my #4 as well, and I would be very comforted if he has a solid outing tonight. You should just keep reminding yourself of how poor he started last season as well I guess....but I know, it sucks.

Come on Moose...I put my faith in you.
