Whether the poster is right or not, Vlad did look to be hurting at the end of the year. Then he went and played winter ball, so it wouldn't surprise me if it was true

I checked and he didn't play as much as I had thought, only 4 games (15 ABs).
Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey
Something to keep an eye on I guess, but the latest from Rotoworld was a week ago and it's this:

The right thumb sprain Vladimir Guerrero suffered while playing winter ball appears fully healed. Guerrero spoke after an impressive BP session yesterday. ''It's better, I'm fine,'' Guerrero said through an interpreter. ''I've had two days of taking swings, and it feels great. I knew I had two months [after the injury] to get ready, so I wasn't concerned.'' Source: Los Angeles Times
Yes doctor, I am sick. Sick of those who are spineless. Sick of those who feel self-entitled. Sick of those who are hypocrites. Yes doctor, an army is forming. Yes doctor, there will be a war. Yes doctor, there will be blood.....
It would have to be a tremendous cover up job for something like this on someone as prominent in the game as Vlad is to go unleaked for an extended period of time. Minor rumors about aches and pains probaly getting blown way out of proportion at the company water cooler would be my guess.
You guys are right in saying that without proof its hard but overhearing this was big enough news to give you guys the heads up on what i heard "around the watercooler". Could be true could not be, but he did have knee trouble last year that kept him out of the lineup for some games. Who knows.....hopefully its just soreness blown out of proportion like someone said.
I had Vlad last year and I believe he had a stress fracture in his back and wore a back brace all last year. I've had the injury and you can play with it as Vlad did last year, and it eventually heals when you rest it. That is why he didn't look like he was healthy at the end of the year, especially running. However, I'm pretty sure he dealth with it all year as Pujols did with his foot injury. The injury didn't hurt Vlad's batting numbers at all since I won my ffb championship. ;-D
I'm not 100% on this but I remember I'm pretty sure he did wear a back brace most of the year.
wow i hope this **** is not true because i just took vlad with my second overall pick. normally i wouldnt even bother asking this but with this "rumor" do you think it was wise?
Definitely don't look to deal until something has been confirmed (if it ever will) I highly doubt he would play all of winter ball and then decide at the beginning of spring training that now is the right time for surgery. Just doesn't add up in my opinion.
