oddball topic - Yahoo draft mechanics

Sorry for the oddball question, but I guessed this was the only forum for it.

When doing a "Live Online Draft" on Yahoo, does every team have to be online?

I am commish for a live draft, but one of the guys will be out of town and I am wondering how to let him participate. I was hoping maybe myself as commish could enter the results of the live draft online, and this guy could also participate.

Not everyone has to be online for a live draft. If someone isn't there, the computer will choose a player based on the auto-draft rankings, which can be customized by the owner prior to the draft.

Which usually isn't customized, ending in a 9th-place finish for the people not there.
