Which is better?

Postby bwee763 » Sun Feb 27, 2005 6:06 pm

Which is the better approach to go for when starting a draft? Start with pitching or hitting? I personally believe that picking an offensive player makes more sense since they play everyday however a pitcher's stats will mean more in pitching categories. I am playing a Yahoo Fantasy Baseball Head to Head format if that helps.

I would go with hitting but it all depends where you are in the draft (where you pick). If 1-7 you should get a very good hitter like Vlad, Albert, A-Rod, Beltran. At number 8 people seem to tend to pick stud pitchers such as Johnson, Prior.

There are some many pitchers, you might as well pick up a great bat in the first rd.

generally hitting before pitching is what i perfer. Although you want to make sure you get at least one stud ace (somewhere in rounds 2-4 usually). but its hard to say, I did a yahoo draft last week where i had the 11th pick, got RJ with my first pick, and Sanatana with my 2nd, you want to take that best talent thats avaiable.
