Crud I have Baez in the Funky 14 .... noooo
if I take Colome with my next pick, how much will you give me for him?
Don't push your luck Nipples.
what is this? funky 14 hijacking the thread?

i disagree with you here. let's say baez goes somewhere else...i'd certainly take a chance on colome or carter...you can't wait for them to prove they can close and then pick them up on the WW. i think it's better if you get colome or whoever is the new closer and leave him on your team...if he starts blowing SV, then you drop him. colome isn't that bad...good ERA and almost a K per IP. carter has some experience as a closer...he saved 26 games in 03...so i'd say they are alright...but that's not the point i'm trying to make. what i wanted to say is that if a set up man, even if he doesn't have great stats or isn't considered to be any good, gets a closer job you should grab him right away and don't wait to see how he's gonna pitch. it's likely that someone else in your league will take the chance and if he doesn't pitch well...it's alright...it's not like he's gonna kill your stats...but if he can hold himself in the closer role, then you'd be kicking yourself for not snagging him for the WW when you had the chance. even if you are not in need of a closer...you can always trade later...closer is a valuable asset in fantasy and certainly a onwer in your league will be looking for some more SVs.
