Just finished 16 team Draft, your thoughts please...

H2H, 16 teams, 5x5 (5 Keepers) i'll indicate what round just as info for others.

I finished 2nd last year without any big name bats so my keepers we're mostly pitchers. I traded Clemens (My 5th keeper) during the draft for Pettite and Mora.

I decided to draft some youngsters hoping I would land a future keeper....

I went after 20/20 kind of guys. I believe I have

I like my pitching staff but I realize that I have some concerns with staying healthy.

C - Lopez (Keeper) (20+hr)
1B - Bagwell (20 + hr)
2B - Burke (20+sb)
2B - Infante (20/20 potential)
SS - Barmes (not sure what to expect) hoping for (15/15 potential)
3B - Mora (20+hr)
3B - McPherson (20+hr)
OF - Hunter (20/20)
OF - Hidalgo (20+hr)
OF - Cameron (20/20)
OF - Swisher (20+hr)
OF - Patterson (20/20)

SP - Peavy (Keeper)
SP - Wood (Keeper)
SP - Pettite
SP - Brown
SP - Lowe
SP - Lilly
SP - Francis
RP - Wagner (Keeper)
RP - Takatsu

That's a really good team for a 16-teamer, especially when you need two 2B and two 3B

Bagwell might get you 20HR, but not much else, I fear.
Burke, Infante & Barmes are all uncertain as to how they'll produce, but they do have potential.

Not bad at OF, and if Cameron is traded, his value could go up in a different ballpark (no idea what's happening with him - so many rumours!)

You recognise the question marks with health, but again your pitchers are better than average for a 16-teamer.

Of everything, I'd look for SS sleepers. Do you have a bench to put anyone on? If so, see if Upton (unlikely), Greene (also unlikely) or Bartlett (possible) are available.

Yeah, for 16 teams, you look solid. Your OF has some holes (Cameron's injury/trade demands), but if you can win with your no-big bats philosophy, go for it. I like Infante, but i don't know if we'll ever see that 20-20 potential. You definetly need another Closer.

Thats interesting...I thought I was set at Closer?? Wags in great shape and Takatsu should get 30. I'd say both are ranked in the top 10. maybe you think I need 3 top 10 closers??

He had great #'s in winter ball. I'd say 20/20 is within reach for the 24 year old.

For a 16-team league, to have two good closers like that is fine. You may want to try and grab an emerging closer during the season, but I don't think you need to worry too much at this stage.
