Beltre vs. Ramirez

Who do you think is better? I had a chance to pick either Beltre or Ramirez in the draft I just did. I picked Ramirez. Beltre is moving to the AL this year and last season was the first time he had a really good season. Ramirez will be moving from batting 3rd to 4th. and last season, Ramirez hit .408 and had a 1.078 OPS in 130 at-bats from the No. 4 spot in the lineup.

Beltre. Had nagging stomach problems until last year--then he goes .334/48/121. Now he moves to a lineup with a heck of a lot more protection than he had in LA. Scary. Yes, I know that
Safeco is a pitchers park, but Dodger stadium isn't exactly hitter friendly either and the way Beltre was crushing balls I think he would have hit well over 40 even if Petco was his home field.

I think Aram will have a great year too. In all of the drafts I've looked at or been involved in this year Beltre is going no later than the end of the 2nd round. Aram is going in the 3rd or 4th.

So if you took Aram in the 2nd I think you took him a little too early.

I don't think you can go wrong with either guy, but I'd rather have Beltre.

Yeah I picked him in the 2nd. I just am not sure Beltre will be nearly as good as he was last year.

I am not completely sold on Beltre yet but I would definitely take him over Ramirez.

If anyone thought he was a lock to repeat these #'s he'd be a top 10 pick this year--maybe even top 5.

whoops, lol my bad. anyway id still go with Aram, Beltre still needs to be consistent and have a couple years of producing god numbers, Aram has been producing good numbers for like 2 or 3 years now
