I'm hurting the most in AVG, RBI, and Runs. I would be starting him at my Util, so position doesn't matter. Which of these goes would you go for? thanks!
Klesko
Mueller
Byrnes
Lane
Tracey
Infante
Jeremy Reed
Koskie
Palmeiro
Aaron Boone
Swisher
Ensberg
Miles
Hawpe
Bill Mueller, hands down. Starts, solid .280-.290 average and will get a solid amount of runs and rbis in the Red Sox lineup. He's also got 12-15 HRs in him. Note that last year he was injured for a little bit, but he probably won't get 2003 numbers. A healthy middle.
None of them really jump out at me, but I probably like Byrnes the best. Lane has good power potential, but Byrnes should be solid in runs and average. Mueller wouldn't be a bad choice either, assuming he stays healthy.
i actually like koskie as a decent 3b if you really need one... but i'd probably pick mueller over him, he gets you a 300 avg or close to it. but with the depth at 3b this year, why would you need any of these guys to begin with???
you can't live the dream, if you don't play the game
i like byrnes, i had him last year and he did alright in my utl role. He has his slumps though and just hope he stays in Oaktown or else he wont play everyday.
Yeah, the only guys that jump out at me on that list are Byrnes, Boone, Lane, and Miles.
After reading Moneyball, gotta keep an eye on Swisher, too.
Bluto: Over? Did you say over? NOTHING is over until WE decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? HELL, NO!
Otter: Germans?
Boon: Forget it, he's rolling.
