Luis Gonzales
Jermaine Dye
Geoff Jenkins
Kevin Mench
Trot Nixon
Kevin Millar (dual elegibility at 1b & of)
Bernie Williams
How would you guys rank them and what kind of a year to you expect from these guys? Also, how would you position Jeremy Reed amongst them? All opinions are welcome.
Basically, I think that all of the above are good late round gets (even Williams, whom I think will be jacked to have a good year...it is his contract year and he wants to play for another year or two).

I have them projected at:
Gonzo 25/100/4/.295
Mench 26/82/2/.284
Millar 20/81/1/.288
Jenkins 26/90/2/.277
Nixon 24/83/4/.300
Williams 19/78/2/.266
Reed 10/68/20/.287
I really like Gonzo coming into this year as well as Mench. The other all rate out about the same with Reed being a good late pick up. Espically if you are still looking for SB. If you have that area covered there are better HR/RBI guys out there.

I have most of these guys as being available in rounds 20-25. Who would be better HR/RBI guys that late in the draft?

Dye was on fire in the first half for me last year........I would let him go to the waiver and keep him on your watch list. Might be a good pick up if he starts off like last year.

I would stay away from Nixon until he can play for a full season....I think there are safer picks then gambling on him. Millar supposedly got serious with his offseason program and wants to prove he is a solid first basemen with the glove and the bat. He started off cold last year, but opened up his stance and started to rake. I would definetly take a look at him. Dual eligibility, and I think he is going to have a better year then last. Mench I think will have his best year of his career.

RBI wise granted not many. HR wise however that are a few:
M. Grissom 19HR, 79RBI
L. Nix 20HR
C. Biggio 17HR
J. Lane 15HR (wins starting job it will be higher than that)
T. Sledge 18HR

I don't know if I would take any of these guys ahead of the players above, save possibly for Jason Lane. Nix CAN be a player, but last I read, Buck does not plan on playing him full-time.
