id say Pujols as well, though I wouldnt argue if someone says ARod. 25lbs heavier this year and steals bases...not a bad gig.

Pujols.

The big reason to me is the security factor. Even if you were trying to rag on him, there's nothing in the stats that suggest a down year is even possible. The guy just doesn't slump - he hasn't had so much as a bad month the past 3 years.

I could see A-Rod, Beltran, or maybe even Vlad having a tough year and while still being good, underperforming their draft position. But not Pujols.

I've changed my opinion on this a few times, but right now I'd say Vladdy.

Arod is awesome, but with all the depth at 3B I'd rather wait a few rounds and get one of those other studs.

Pujols is incredible, but I don't want to draft a guy with injury concerns with the 1st pick. I know, I know...He battled the same injury all last year and look what he did? But the fact that he's complaining about it NOW, before spring training has started is a big red flag, IMO.

I like Arod or Vlad myself. Pujols is a stud and there is nothing wrong with picking him either but I absolutely hate taking pure SB guys and having stud hitters who can steal as well is very important to my teams. I may not win steals against people with a pure SB guy every time but I build my team to make sure I win steals against everyone else.
