Shandler an Idiot?

Postby Cleveland Steamers » Thu Feb 24, 2005 9:31 pm

found out that so called expert #4 that everyone has been calling an idiot on the forum is nobody but Shandler himself. How can this guy be an expert and have a draft like he had? I dont know much about the guy but looking through his position in the KP Experts draft leads me to believe that he is a horrible fantasy baseball "expert." Take a look yourself, Shandler is #4. The draft was published in Fantasy Sports Magazine and lists him as the fourth pick.

In case you are curious here are the picks...

Crawford (4)
Renteria (21)
Rollins (28)
Javy Lopez (45)
K-Rod (52)
Shawn Green (69)
Matsui (76)
Sean Casey (93)
Armando Benitez (100)
Aaron Boone (117)
Aaron Rowand (124)
Kelvim Escobar (141)
Rodrigo Lopez (148)
Jon Lieber (165)
Derek Lowe (172)
Ray Durham (189)
Jaret Wright (196)
Jeromy Burnitz (213)
Geoff Jenkins (220)
Aaron Harang (237)
Mark Kotsay (244)
Bengie Molina (251)

This is the highest I have seen Crawford go. Also taking back to back SS??? Hmmm.... The pick I like the most has to be the Matsui pick in the 7th round.

Shandler's team is going to get owned in that league.

Escobar as your first starting pitcher? 2 SS in the first 3 rounds?

Crawford -- EARLY, Vlads still available
Renteria -- EARLY, I wouldnt take him before round 5
Rollins -- EARLY, I like him but not in round 3...wait at least another
Lopez -- EARLY, cather in the 4th is sheer stupidity if you ask me
KRod -- decent value here
S. Green -- Early, could have a good year, wait another round
H. Matsui -- Good value here
S. Casey -- Early, seen him go from 9-13 in all drafts
A. Benitez -- Not bad here, could be huge again this year
A. Boone -- This early? Are you serious?
A. Rowand -- Good value, i like this pick
K. Escobar -- Not bad here, could be a steal. ive got high exp.
R. Lopez -- A little early, but not a bad pick (148 overall)
J. Lieber -- Again, its getting up to individual thoughts and projections from here on out. Lieber should fill all value here
Durham -- Early, have seen him go into the 21-undrafted
J. Wright -- Fine pick here
J. Burnitz -- Huge risk for hitting under .050...well more like .235
G. Jenkins -- I like this pick
A. Harang -- could pay off at this spot
M. Kotsay -- been in a couple 20 teamers and he went undrafted...
B. Molina -- was this a pity pick? Maybe he know Molina...

He's got a large climb up ahead that is for sure. He locked up SBs though which is good. :-D

WTF? Something is up here. :-?
I'm not familiar with anything that Shandler has written but this looks terrible. Why would he take Jaret Wright at all?
Hmmm.....im lost.

He just hasn't been any good since he left The Larry Sanders Show. ;-)

My apologies. I have a nephew named Anfernee, and I know how mad he gets when I call him Anthony. Almost as mad as I get when I think about the fact that my sister named him Anfernee.

Maybe he was just having a bad night and ended up out-thinking himself. In the first draft he didn't do nearly as bad. Strange.
