Last March, I was down in Florida and caught a few spring training games (something everyone should do!). While I was hanging around the batting cages on one of the back fields a cold beer in my hand, I thought why in the world am I going back up North to hold my league draft in a cold, grey office? Wouldn't it be really cool to have a weekend down in Florida, hanging out with my league-mates (same league for 6 years), catching a few games, and holding our draft at the stadium. I thought, why keep this to myself so, I spent last summer and fall meeting with the general managers of the stadiums and have space at 4 stadiums throughout Florida. I have heard that from many players. Actually, when I first started this thing I had that discussion with my wife after I heard the "grumble, grumble, #!*&# Fantasy Widow #@$%! grumble, grumble". We worked out a deal. At first I tried pitching it as my birthday present from her - no dice. Then we settled on both going to Florida for a March weekend - something that is an easy sell if you are from the NorthEast or PA (I'd imagine) and while I'm off at the ballyard she is at the beach or shopping or doing whatever.

I don't know whether she's a saint or is pulling one over on me, but ... I'm wearing shorts, drinkin' beer, catching baseball in March and crushing my league mates on draft day. OK so the first 3 are true.
