must have caused him to sneeze violently

Give a man a fish and he'll eat for a day, teach a man to fish and he'll drown because you forgot to teach him to swim.

I have drafts scheduled for Mar 27 and Apr 2. Cant see how anyone can draft in February before anyone has thrown a pitch in anger. Mid March should be the earliest you draft.
Let's play two.

Word. I despise ... and avoid ... drafts held before guys have started stretching in spring training.

Agreed. Are people really that impatient?

I like to do a few drafts early b/c then it gives me a feel for how guys are progressing vs. where they were projected and picked early. It's just a different game altogether rather than an inferior one imo. You can pick a guy and he has a great Spring Training and all of a sudden he is getting picked 100 spots earlier and you got great value before the season even starts which is nice in its own way. As far as injuries, guys can get injured at any time, including the beginning of the season, so whatever, you just try to value their durability accordingly like any draft. I do one set early and one set in mid to late March, but then again I am also someone who can handle several leagues w/o a problem and some prefer to just focus on 1-2 in which case I think it's better to do the draft late as well.

Just the first sign on WHY YOU NEVER DRAFT PITCHERS EARLY!
Also, just the begining of the end for a sub par year for Gagne. A little bird told me that he was smaller this year ... off the juice???
Things that make you go Hmmmmmm...
