Hello,
I am participating in a 16 TEAM H2H Keeper League where the draft method is auction with a $260 million cap. We get to keep 5 players each season from 24.
I'm presently using a guide that lists Pujol's suggested price at $41. I figure that for his age (25), this guy can certainly anchor my franchise for at least another 10 years. However, the guide is basing this on a 10 to 12 team league.
With 16 teams in the league, would it be silly to spend much more on such a player or should I look into looking at a lower ceiling value so as to not get caught in a situation where I have a star franchise player (Pujols) surrounded by 23 pieces of ham like Jose Macias, Charles Johnson & Tomo Ohka...
In essence, I would need somebody to tell me if I should be ready to spend 2x on a star player or divide that value by 2 becaus eof the amount of teams in the league.
Thanks in advance!
