Three Snakes and one Charm is probably my favorite...

Early stuff? That was their 4th album. But yeah, that's a good one. I'm more partial to Amorica.
Interesting - I like
Southern Harmony.

You can't deny Southern Harmony, that's a great album. I just like Amorica better. Nonfiction, Wiser Time, Descending are all some of my favorite songs of their's. I'd have put that cover on this thread but I have a feeling that it wouldn't have been appropriate.

That's pretty cool that you like Amorica--most Crowes fans I know aren't into that cd so much. It's by FAR my favorite Black Crowes album, and that's not to knock the rest of their stuff, which is mostly fantastic. Wiser Time knocks me on my duff every time I hear it. I'm not a Southern boy by any means, but you gotta love that southern rock sound.
So yeah, went with the Crowes--Pumpkins were gods for about three albums, and then they went SPLAT on the sidewalk.
Incidentally, I'd suggest anyone who's interested to check out New Earth Mud, Chris Robinson's new band. Not as good as the Crowes, but similar sound, more mellow and acoustic. I have their 2nd cd, and it's pretty good.
