BMRB Round 2 - U2 vs. Sonic Youth

Voted for U2 because they beat Creed. And it's pretty ironic that Scott Stapp's favorite album is The Joshua Tree.

My vote goes to U2 to win it all.

But U2 isn't a modern rock band, really. If I were to judge them solely on their modern work, then I'd vote Sonic Youth. In fact, I regret my choice. U2's best stuff is 15 years old, if not more.

Oh, and above I was refering to Pop, by the way.

Like REM, U2 just barely met the qualification specs I set for this thing. The title "Modern Rock" really was to keep things seperate from the Classic Rock tourney.

at least i have 1 sonic youth CD...and none from U2.
