This is an obscure answer fellas - he doesnt play for them anymore - and I bet most people didnt realize he ever played for the Marlins. Dig just a bit - if no one gets it I'll post the answer.

BTW - Miggy made $350,000 last yr. This player made over 6,000,000.

Is $6 million what this player made, or a portion that the Marlins paid? I'd guess Piazza.

That's not entirely true since the Marlins traded for him in June. He was still owed $3.7 million and the ChiSox picked up most of it.

nice catch - when I saw that link my jaw dropped. Even still - was Billy Koch seriously paid $6+ million last yr!?!?!? Thats INSANE :-o

Yep the ChiSox signed him to that contract after they sent Foulke packing cause he wasn't a good enough to be their closer. !+)
