it may help him, but at the same time, he is going to the place where randy johnson barely had a winning record, and got 2nd in the cy young... his team is bad, and even if he pitches better, it wont affect his overall stats much... he will be a little better, but not enough for me to be happy with him on my team
you heard it here...

Felix Hernandez = 35 wins, 400K!

To be fair though, they added Glaus and Green plus a healthy LGonzo. They had ZERO offense in 04. They are a much better team this season no?

there was a lot of speculation that he was injured because he was throwing at a different arm angle. his strikeouts took a huge drop in new york (from 241 down to 150). i thin vaz could be a solid value pick. those k's could get back up to 180-200. AZ's offense should be better than last year and vaz was valuable without much of an offense in montreal. i think the can manage wins in the low teens, 180-200k, high 3 era, 1.25 whip. pretty decent numbers i think.
Yeah, I'd keep an eye on Vaz later in the draft, especially due to his positive record in a similar low-offense locale of Montreal. As Yoda mentioned, Arizona has gotten some solid guys to increase the offense on the club.
I think you could definitely bank on 10-12 wins and a 3-4 ERA from him with a return of the K's. Not bad for a 3rd/4th pitcher.
I think that he is going to be a very good value pick for someone. When all is said and done, he may have very similar #'s to pitcher in the Clemente, Perez (Odie) & Escobar group.
He got rattled in NY. Not the first nor the last. If you can land him in rounds 11-15, you got yourself a very good value pick. While I do not expect him to return to Expos days, I do expect much better than last year. Again, it was not all that long ago (only two years)that he was one of the top young pitchers in all of baseball. He could be a real gem this year.
