Top 5 RP vs. Low #2 SP

Postby Mercer Boy » Thu Feb 24, 2005 12:23 pm

Which is better - a top 5 closer like Wagner or Nathan, or a #2 SP like Beckett, Mussina, or Harden? This is what I'm up against...From the way my draft looks I'm going to guess I either I lose the chance at a really good closer to get a "bottom of the barrel" #2 SP or I take the SP and end up with Dotel, Benitez, or someone else (hopefully).

My #1 SP is Oliver Perez, if that helps you understand the situation I'm in. H2H league with normal roto cats. :-)

I'm going to guess that I should take the SP, but what do you guys think? :-?

Closers >> Starters in H2H unless you have a rule or two in place to prevent spot starting!!

PUNT SAVES!!!! Get the starter, you can get cheap saves from teams where closers aren't set yet (i.e. Brewers, Texas)
Baseball is a game where a curve is an optical illusion, a screwball can be a pitch or a person, stealing is legal and you can spit anywhere you like except in the umpire's eye or on the ball. ~Jim Murray
