This trade veto-able in your opinion??

Postby brandnew » Wed Feb 23, 2005 10:43 pm

This just got veto'd.. I have no idea why, it's really even to me.

It's a 14 team H2H Dynasty League, OPS & Holds

Team A gives: Brian Giles
Team A gets: BJ Upton

Team B gives: Lance Berkman, Jeremy Bonderman
Team B gets: Jake Peavy, Brian Giles

Team C gives: BJ Upton, Jake Peavy
Team C gets: Lance Berkman, Jeremy Bonderman

Is this veto-able to you?

I'd like to be Team B in this one.

Well, we're on yahoo, but it's not a Public League, it's a Dynasty League..

I'd like to be team B, too, but the trade isn't vetoable considering its a dynsaty league.

nope, no veto here. I'm not even sure team b gets the best of the deal, Giles is nothing special and while I think peavy will be great he hasn't had enough time to prove it yet.

This is fairly even trade, I can make a case for all three teams benifiting from this deal. I see absolutly no way that this should have been even considered to be vetoed, let alone shot down.
I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing Astroturf and the designated hitter. -Crash Davis

It probably got shot down due to the immediate impact that team B would get out of the deal.

I'd have let it go through, but I'd definitely want to be team B in this deal.
