Punting Saves, But Other than that.....

Tell me what you think? There are still quite a bit of viable starting pitchers available, if I feel I need to go after some more wins. however, with my rotation, I think I can do very well with ERA WHIP and even K's. I feel that I also have a good enough offense to offset some stuff. If this was Roto, I wouldnt feel comfortable, but in H2H I think it will be a very good team.

I just don't see punting saves as a viable strategy. Your offense is good but not dominant. Same with your pitching.

I understand what you are saying, but any closer worth having was gone by the 5th round (about 15). I am just not going to do it. It is only one category

I drafted 9 out of 12, and there was one point in the draft where I decided I was going to take a closer. With the 16 picks before it got back to me, 10 closers went. I would rather have a guy like Mike gonzalez than a guy like Shawn Chacon or Danny graves. tehy help in Saves, but nothing else. at least gonzalez helps in k's, whip, era, and possibly wins

Couldn't agree more. Even if you weren't punting saves, Gonzalez's Ks and ERA are way more valuable than Chacon's garbage.
