Who is this Yogi Berra you speak of? :-?

Dale's dad. I think he played a little himself, too. :-D

Sandy Alomar, Jr. was a perennial All-Star back in the 90's, and he is easily 6'4"-6'5". I wonder if he would have had a longer, more productive career if he'd been shorter or if he'd been moved to another position. He sure could rake back in the day!

Closser's a decent prospect who probably wouldn't get too much of a look elsewhere. I may have overhyped him a lot. I think he's the #15 catcher or something on my board. It's just that he has so much more reward than the other pack of catchers. Molina, LaRue, etc...it's a muddled field. They'll all produce about the same, so if Closser fails, you'll probably have some sort of fallback option.

I'm mostly concerned about Closser's PT. There have been plenty of rumors of Johnson trades floating around, but none have occurred. The Rockies seem to be using a lot of young players this year, though. Atkins, Barmes, Holliday, etc.

Kirby Puckett once said he'd love to have a body like Glenn Braggs. Braggs was 6'3", graceful, and couldn't sniff Puckett's jockstrap as a player.

Compressed power is better than diffuse power in baseball.
