Nice team...I'd be on the lookout for another mid level starter in case your Angels don't work out, and another closer. Keep an eye on Borowski, there is a slight chance he'll get it alll together. You can probably find SP and a decent closer the waiver wire as some usually pop up after a month or so. Nice work.

No one else has commented on my team yet if you'd like to help out:

Nice draft. I'd agree, you are going to need another starter. You can do so by trade, but I would wait a month or so and you can probably get someone good on waivers.

The only other thing you may want to address is speed. You don't have anyone who is going to steal you alot of bases. But then again, if you put Crisp and/or Greene in your starting lineup, that may not be that much of an issue.

Anyway, you have six position players on your bench. It would be a good idea to drop one of them (or trade, if possible) for a pitcher. You are going to lose some stats if you don't.

Disagree about Borowski. This guy is never going back to being The Cubs' #1 RP.

Grab Ryan Dempster right away as an insurance policy should Hawkins faulter... and chances are he will. Even as a setup man, Dempster may help to keep that WHIP down.

i think your only weakness is with your 2B and 3B. i think you are taking a huge chance with the two you have.

Hmm he is nice trade bait isn't he. But I pretty much punted saves since I think doing so made my team overall better. I could try to trdade him for a nice SP though since I have a nice bench that I can take pretty much come up with an adequate replacement for him. And I need some starting pitching that is better than Colon or Arroyo though I think Escobar HUddy and Prior will be very good ;-D Opinions?

Well

G AB R H 2B 3B HR RBI TB BB SO SB CS OBP SLG AVG
2004 69 263 41 77 17 1 14 40 138 14 40 6 0 .332 .525 .293

for D Wright seems like he's suited for a breakout rookie year this year since I consider him a rookie with only 69 games in 04 and Uribe seemed like a good 2B at the time in the draft

G AB R H 2B 3B HR RBI TB BB SO SB CS OBP SLG AVG
2004 134 502 82 142 31 6 23 74 254 32 96 9 11 .327 .506 .283

Though I agree Uribe is defiantly my weakest offense player and if a trade comes a long I may look to upgrade him ;-D

nice team, kinda similar to mine. Only thing that I would do is maybe trade or pick up another "sure" closer. I dont like Hawkins, but otherwise Hudson and Prior will be in contention of nl cy young
