Is this draft any better?

You are Franciscians, right? Another perfect opportunity to punt saves (only Troy Percival), although on second thoughts that would spell an almost certain low placed finish looking at your roster :-D

:-D Yes your right I am them, and Hawkins can get a few saves probably so I didn't completely punt the catergory ;-D

Don't count on it. I'll be targeting Hawkins as an elite MR. Dempster and Jo Bo will compete in ST for the closers role in Chicago.

Eh, yeah I forgot about the public factor in that a lot of teams will stop trying, so the few that do will dominate, and score 100+ points and you just cant win like that punting saves. In a competitive league, you don't see the scores get over high 80s low 90s.

From experience a number do stop trying early. Some even in April. I'd disagree with 2/3 by the All Star break though. Half the teams are generally competitive till reasonably late in the season, with 2 or 3 fighting it out to the bitter end.

And I can assure you that a winning score close to 100 points is definitely achievable in a very competitive 12 team Cafe League B-)

Just saying he should get a couple, and I was limited on choices in the 19th round. Anyway atleast I got Percival and with the team I drafted I don't think I really need saves anyway.

Trade for what :-D My offense is loaded except for 2nd even though Uribe is still really good. Maybe pitching?

Man its great to see people starting to come to their senses about closers. Its was disturbing to see Gagne going in the first round so often last season.

First 5 rounds roid_rage and Afternoon delight get the edge. Neither one picked up a pitcher but got pretty good value on all the hitters they took.

6-12 Hayburner and Boozehounds got a couple of steals and got excellent base pitching staves set.

13 on is pretty much a toss-up where nobody really loaded up with steals and the sleeper players seemed pretty well distributed. Ragging On Roids loaded up on the boom or bust guys, Afternoon Delight turned into a team that is going to probably need the LIMA strategy to compete.

Overall pretty balanced draft, I would favor the Pujols 4 MVP team slightly.
