Yes, I'd say you were lucky to get the numbers from all three of those players on your team last year. No one could've predicted that those 3 guys would have gone off last year.
If you don't think it's luck, then tell me who the 3 huge producers this year are going to be that haven't produced before?
Last year was very unusual in that there were a few nice young players with positions open. In one of my salary leagues I got Beltre $1 - Bay $1 - Morneau $1 & Crosby $1, came in 6th out of 15, but I'm looking good this year.
Well, actually, what my sig doesn't note is that I didn't draft either Martinez or Beltre. They went undrafted in my league, somehow. I picked both up within the first weeks of the season.
I still think it's stupidity; I take a lot of risks, usually. VMart was my replacement for Mauer when he went down.
This year, I'm thinking Jeremy Reed is a breakout; but I live in a town just north of Seattle, so I never draft Mariners.
