Just had an autodraft last night for a 12 team 5x5 H2H yahoo league. Some of the guys in the league puruse this forum and this was a competitive league last year. I used Nemo's top 100 list except moved a few people like Bonds around. Here is my team and which round they went, as you can see, I need pitching help but my offense is set. In H2H i'm thinking I can probably ditch the setup men and MR, pick up some more SP as there is no max/IP per matchup. Round taken in ().
C: Barrett (18 , don't remember even ranking him)
1B: Dunn (5)
2b: Iguchi (16)
3B: Blalock (4)
SS: Jeter (3)
OF: Matsui (7 )
OF: Sheffield (2)
OF: Beltran (1)
Util: D. Lee (6)
Util: Lowell (8)
BN: Coco Crisp (19)
BN: A. Berroa (22)
SP: Garcia (12)
SP: Colon (13)
RP: Guardado (9 - my first pitcher taken )
RP: Percival (10)
P: C. Cordero (11)
P: Pineiro (15)
P: B. Lawrence (20)
P: Eaton (21)
BN: M. Gonzalez (17)
BN: Wickman (14)
BN: Donnelly (23)

For an autodraft, I am pleased with how Nemo's list worked out. I Have a lot on offense to trade and upgrade my SP. What do you think?

I think that you are right. You have a ton of hitting, but are light in the starting pitching dept. I am betting that there are some decent options available on the waiver wire (think Thomson). You should try to upgrade yourself at 2nd. Perhaps Cuddyer was not drafted? Also see if Inge is available, as I believe that he will be a better option than Barret.

yeah, i've been looking but not finding much. Cuddyer is on my watch list but not going to use my waiver priority (but who do I drop?). Thomson is gone. SP is pretty bare, some guys like Byrd, El Duque, Lowry, Bush is about all. Some good MR though! Inge is gone. Even "sleeper" catchers like Closser and Buck are gone. Trading is going to be my best option I think.

I would drop either Iguchi or Berroa for Cuddyer. Utley taken?
As for pitchers, if there are no good ones available (would have to see an available list to make that determination), you may consider going with the "build-a-stud" approach.
utley gone. I don't think i can post the thread since it is a private league and i don't want to post everyone available (that annoys the crap out of me when people do that). I have Gonzalez and Donnelly so I am one good setup man/MR away from a stud but in H2H, using 3 rotation spots can kill you over a weeks time.
I was getting ready to post the link ... what I like about it this year is the 7 day trend that includes the draft average for the past seven days. Gives an indication of how drafters are reacting to player news.

It is true that Edmonds does not make it an entire season without getting hurt. However, you cannot overlook the numbers that he put up last year. That is why I drafted him in the third round of my 12 team 5x5 roto league.
