i like benson because the mets have beefed up their lineup... they will score runs, play pretty good defense and they have deepened their pitching by getting martinez...

look at benson's stats since he joined the mets. they're pretty impressive. he should be an excellent value for you.

I wouldn't exactly call 11 GS, 4-4, 4.50 ERA, 6.8 K/9 IP, 8 HR exactly impressive...

Benson just signed a contract which he doesn't deserve. We've been waiting for him to do something or anything good for 4 years. Personally, I think Benson plays for a better team and in a better park but Davis is the better pitcher. I'll roll the dice with Davis.
