My auction contract keeper league is so Expensive I don t know what to do.
I mean Pujols is at 60 tejada and arod 50 each soriano and abreu 42.
Even Hudon is boing to bein the 30 s soon.
its an 18 team league all with $260 required to buy 23 guys each.
6x6 league
Man this is rough for my first draft lol
ANy suggestions.
SO far I was able to get
Rolen $31
Gagne $31
Varitek $15
Kazmir $8
Ray King $7 Holds is a cat
I currently have bids on : (but they will change soon . all the bids do)
Roy Oswalt $28
Furcal $17
Helton $35
Im telling you even Huff went for aroubnd $30. Isnt this an expensive league?
Any advice?

People are spending WAY TOO MUCH on studs and later in the draft you should get GREAT deals if u don't panic and spend too much now.

Just sit back and wait and fill your team with normally $15-20 guys that you can get cheaper now that everyone has spent their money on studs

Main suggestion: put your league rules into USAToday's $$ value predictor and see what reasonable prices to pay for players are. Then read the article at baseballnotebook.com about paying 80% of value when considering which players to bid on and for which prices.

question: when using these value predictors do you recommend estimating the number of batters and pitchers on your active palying roster or should you estimate what your bench will look like as well. for example. i start 13 hitters and 8 pitchers and my bench is 8 players. should i enter 13/8 or 17/12?
this always confuses me and it makes a huge difference.
