Not that bad at all ... you have some kick-ass starters, a dominant outfielder, and the best closer in baseball. Your also strong enough at catcher, first base, and second base. Post up some FA shortstops, third basemen, and SP's. Maybe there will be a player or two who'll greatly improve your chances.
Why Lee over Thomson? Think Thomson's year was just a fluke? Both went 14-8, Lee only had 30 more strikeouts, Thomson's ERA was 3.72 compared to Lee's 5.43, and Thomson's WHIP was 1.32 compared to Lee's 1.50. Just interested in your thinking.

Lee = potential galore. He can dominate when healthy, as seen by his 161 K's in 179 IP. Definitely worth the risk as your 6th or 7th starter.
Thomson gives away too many hits, and it'll catch up to him sooner or later when that sinker of his falters. Also loses the run support from JD Drew ... I'm expecting his numbers to slip a little next year.
Okay, one more thing while you're still around (and thank you by the way!). You think I'll all set with just one C? The best available C is Pierzynski.

With Lo Duca, you'll need a 2nd half catcher since Lo Duca typically is on fire the first half and shuts down the second. Go ahead and pick up Pierzynski.
