In a related story, Ken Griffey JR, while reading JD Drew article in local newspaper, gets papercut and is expected to miss first month of season......

He might report late to Spring Training for the most minor ailment possible... he's averaged 120 games over the past 6 seasons. And we should get real?
"Jack, will you call me, if you're able?"
"I've got your phone number written, in the back of my Bible."
If I really have toexplain the silliness of complaining about a player getting a cold in the 3rd week of February, then well this board is sillier than prviously believed. Don't draft good old JD Drew because he got that cold on Feb 21st...it is a sign of things to come...LMAO.
It's not a cold, it's the flu, and he might mis spring training. And it was meant as a joke seeing as though he can't play through anything. You really need to take 'er esy. You're gonna have ulcers all season at thsi rate.

I've had the flu 3 times before, and it's not like you have to be sent to a recovery home in a distant country and be monitored 24/7. It's not malaria for Christ's sake .... you recover within a week or two.

Jackal, you took the words out of my mouth in both of your posts in this thread. The topic was a joke, the fact that drew has stayed healthy for a full season isnt.
