J.D. Drew has a severe case of the flu, and may report late to spring training. He signed a five-year, $55 million deal with the team this offseason after hitting .305 with 31 home runs and 93 RBI for the Braves in 2004.
No need to play much again this year since he's locked into a new 55 million dollar deal.

My apologies. I have a nephew named Anfernee, and I know how mad he gets when I call him Anthony. Almost as mad as I get when I think about the fact that my sister named him Anfernee.

True...just wait tough...with $55 mil in his pocket he will find a way to take "a day or two" off....

England's Worcester Canoe Club set the world record for paddling a hand-propelled bathtub. The 25 man team covered a distance of 55 miles, 425 yards in 24 hours on September 28 and 29, 1979.
Yeah this is really an inane thread. The man gets a cold in February and people are on his case and make it sound like he is prone to this sort of thing. Get real please.
I hope you guys are just joking, nobody could really be this ignorant. The glass isn't always half empty for gods sake. Oh, and next time any of you have the flu, you better watch out because that means you will start to get injured all the time like a curse. Falling down stairs, getting hit by cars, and having to visit your mother in law are side effects of the flu. DA. I put the J.D. Drew curse on all of you, ha ha ha ha ha ha (insert sinister laugh) <img src=/forums/images/smiles/kiss.gif>
