Alright Canseco! Sure, he could have very likely taken them, but he wasn't exactly gigantic. He did get considerably bigger from his early years though.
Last I heard, he had personally admitted that his shoulder was shot. If he's had a resurgence of power then great. I like the guy, and I always have. However, I have my doubt about getting a full season from the guy ever again.
I'm going forward with the idea that he can do what he's always done, but at no more than a 130-game per year clip.
I've always like Bags even though he plays for another team in the NLC, but he is pretty clearly in decline. Its not just his power, it is his BA too. Now the lineup is severely downgraded and Berkman will probally miss the 1st month.
Why is it that every weight loss and/or decline in performance is related to steroids?
I've also mentioned that in other threads...
Can't a guy just get old anymore?
I guess that for some people (especially ones who do not closely follow baseball), it is easy or fun to blame injury and decline to steroids. With a plethora of n00bs on this board (myself included), I am sure this won't stop any time soon. However, I do hope that experienced posters will start squashing these unfounded steroid threads.

Thanks for the contribution. However, let me offer some advice. You sound ignorant when you make comments like this. Hello, guys who are professional athletes work out...a lot. People get big when they work out. Also, people get old and their skills decline, I know this first hand.
Enough with the steroid accusations. We have enough idiots like Conseco out there who are dragging baseball through the mud without moronic comments made here in the cafe.
You guess guys can't just get old?? Like Barry Bonds ?
So let me get this straight. A baseball player is not allowed to be muscular if he hasn't done steroids? Is that your argument? I'm not too clear on what you are implying here.
