Yanno....that kinda sounds like....BASEBALL. When you accumulate your points over the course of a season, it kinda sounds like....NASCAR. :-?

I like H2H. You can still have an over all winner for the season. the end is not just luck. h2h will keepyou interested. roto will have some slow times

I'll always be a H2H fan. I play in a 12-team league with friends who I see every day, so we're constantly talking about trades, matchups and standings. It's very, very fun this way.

Even if you're just joining a public league or some other league where you don't necessarily know everyone, I think the mobility that you have in H2H leagues makes it a lot more fun.

So you are saying MLB should switch there format and let the team with the best record in steals, Avg, hr, rbi and so forth have the world series trophy and not even have a playoffs? This is what I dont understand. Roto is nothing like real baseball it is just setting up a lineup and being done. In H2H you are actually playing another team "imagine that it is what baseball teams do" and you have to beat these teams to make the playoffs and then if you make it to the playoffs you have to beat 3 other teams. This sounds awful familiar to me oh yea it is like real baseball.

I dont feel the need to try and replicate real baseball. I want 5x5 standard roto - thats the game I play. If you want real baseball, I can understand why you would like H2H - the luck factor and all.

These threads are akin to arguing politics and religion.

I like both. I agree with CM that Roto is the fairer game and skill counts a little more but I disagree that a 3-week streak will win anything in H2H baseball like it does in H2H football. H2H is just fun, period. I wouldn't play it for money but I enjoy it.

Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey

H2H = little more fun but a little more luck. Fun for free leagues

Roto = Little more skill. Better for pay leagues.
