The problem w/ planning on getting Griffey is that you pretty much have to get 3 OF capable of playing full time, so that you are covered when (or if...) Junior goes down.
This causes your team to be OF heavy and then leaves a hole in your lineup somewhere so that when the 15th or whatever round rolls around and you are ready to pull the trigger on Griffey, you realize you only have one catcher, Michael Barrett (not totally bad value C, but he'll sit once or twice a week when Maddux is pitching...) or your RP are Foulke and Wickman (not that they're bad, but you'd probably be short a few saves...) and then, w/ a tear in your eye, you pick Junior anyway.
Then you panic after being down saves the first week, unload your worst 'spare' OF for some bullpen help and bam, Griffey goes down and you've got a waiver wire OF. Eeek!!
I will only draft Griffey late, hope he gets hot and trade him away for someone who needs power.
My apologies. I have a nephew named Anfernee, and I know how mad he gets when I call him Anthony. Almost as mad as I get when I think about the fact that my sister named him Anfernee.

Honestly even I won't go after Griffey in the 15th, But I have been seeing this guy fall way down to like the 18-20 range. If he is there at 19 I will have no problems taking him!!!! But 15 no way, you are right there are other holes to be filled.
i agree with all of you and this is painful since im a griffey fan...
4 or 5 years ago this guy was on pace to be one of the greatest of all time, this guy was the man... now people dont even want him in the fifteenth round and a cheater is break the record...sad
