for your bench?
i'd be pleased with him as my starter at 2b/ss. but i guess that would make him an even better backup
Yep When your bench is good enough to start you know your in good shape
Bobblehead ... Felipe Alou has been quoted as saying that while Feliz may not have a regular starting position, he will get 450-500 ABs this year. While that remains to be seen, don't write him off yet. Remember, Alfonzo stinks, Vizquel is 110 years old, Snow never plays against LH pitching, and the Giants may need help in the OF
Figgins is admittedly a much stronger pickup but is not exactly under the radar and will probably be more expensive/ drafted before Lugo. Lugo is pretty far down and would fill in ok as a backup, perhaps MORE useful as he won't be timesharing w/ anybody and, if your #1 goes down, you won't be looking at Figgins playing maybe 3-4 days a week vs. Lugo playing 5-6.
Don't get me wrong, if Figgins is there at a decent time, I'd be all over him too. AND perhaps get Lugo. Once I get the starters I like to try to corner a piece of the market for RP or backups who fill in multiple positions so I can sweeten trade deals and have some marketable scrubs.
Thanks for the tip!! Having a guy cover 2 spots who can fill in quasi productively is handy. He's not likely to fly off the charts but could turn into a better value than phenoms like McPherson or Atkins.
I doubt he'll be of better value than McPherson considering how low he goes in most drafts .... but there's also guys like Feliz and Figgins who are eligible at multiple positions.
Last I heard Dallas McPherson was having back surgery, because it hurt to do everyday things. I wouldn't count on him this year. Unless you know something that I do not.

Give Snakes his due!!!! Snakes deserves the fantasy expert icon!!! Go Snakes!!!!

Dude, what year is it?!? Christ, I gotta update my headclock or something...
Seriously, I have Lugo projected at #52, based on Sportsline projections and my own tweaking based on 3 year averages. I'm pretty certain that's way too high, but the stats I have are 104 R, 14 HR, 72 RBI, 25 SB, .293 BA. Does anyone else have him ranked this high? Do those stats look reasonable? I'm at a loss here, because I definitely wouldn't have figured Lugo as even a top 100 player, but those are the stats I came up with, and they put him pretty high...
Oh, and why the hell did you reply to *this* 2-year-old post, instead of just starting a new one?
(taps little picture of a microphone)... is this thing on?
