dreaded auto pick draft

not my choice but this is format adopted by gang i play with. really hard to decide how to rank players.

5x5 roto league on yahoo.

any help from more experienced gamers in specifics or general strategy appreciated.

If you are stuck with it, I would recommend tiering all of the players, picking 'the' player you want and rating those particular players a bit higher perhaps than they deserve to be rated. I don't think that the computer does any more analysis than that and should give you most of the guys you've tapped.

Your rate of success may fizzle as the draft goes on and your later rounds may end up horrid so you should also make whatever arrangements to be the first one on the waiver wire to plug holes or get guys who fell through the pachinko machine.

Autodrafts just suck.

I've done 'em before and I'll never do 'em again.

all i know is that i just autodrafted and ended up with freel as my thirdbaseman even though i ranked more thirdbaseman than any other position (expect outfeilder). It can get real messy.
