Glaus, McPherson will struggle this year IMO. I don't like Glaus's AVG too much either but atleast I'm confident that he'll have the job the whole year...
Have to go with Glaus on this one. Glaus should get more homeruns and although he probably won't have a great average I will be very surprised if McPherson hits over .260 in 2005
Tough call, in Yahoo, they noted "When asked if Glaus would play in the team's Cactus League opener March 3, Melvin said, "I'm not sure. When we run him out there we want to be 100 percent sure. We'll probably limit his innings early on". Does 'early on' include the regular season? Those chilly trips to Coors or SF in the springtime?
If I were looking for a 'oops, I forgot a 3B' (or I strategically punted 3B...), I'd go w/ McPherson as, unless he absolutely flames out, he's likely to at least get playing time w/o consulting the PDR. If I were looking for a backup who might, if Jupiter is in line with uh, Troy, pan out, I'd go w/ Glaus. There's a bunch of 3B and, for once, I suspect that the crafty veteran (Glaus) has a higher ceiling than the young potential stud. Too bad the Angels didn't get McPherson a few more AB for experimental purposes though. That would perhaps paint a better picture.
For just this year Glaus. I think they will have similar AVG's, which is the knock on Glaus. If he's healthy all year, Glaus could realistically get 50 HR in the BOB and playing 7-8 games in Coors.

he he he
its a tossup, i like average guys and glaus isnt one of those guys, and mcpherson is unproven. i do like mcpherson to win al roy this year, and i dont like glaus to win anything. so i'll give DM the slight, slight, slight edge here.
