i was reading on espn.com about some of the "stories" canseco tells about other "users." The bit about talking to Boone on second base after a double is a lie, he lied about a game 6 in the WS, you know ill just send the link for anyone interested.
Here's a part of Canseco's book, about Bret Boone in Spring Training of 2001:
"I hit a double, and when I got out there to second base, I got a good look at Boone," Canseco wrote. "I couldn't believe my eyes. He was enormous."
'"Oh, my God,' I said to him. 'What have you been doing?'"
'"Shhh,' he said. 'Don't tell anybody.'"
But the thing is, Canseco never got a double in Spring Training. He never even got a hit. And he certainly never reached second base, which many news sources have noted.
At least most people know enough not to believe this guy, even though I'm sure some of what he says has truth to it. The problem is, you don't know what's true, what's speculation, and what's completely made up to sell books.
"Jack, will you call me, if you're able?"
"I've got your phone number written, in the back of my Bible."

I never heard about that. That could change some opinions.
