Man, a load of those jokers are (were) on the juice and it doesn't just take Canseco to suddenly make it true. With millions of bucks and a life of luxury on the line in a highly competitve league, you would be naive to not think those jokers were into some "supplements" to give their performance a boost.
As for the truth behind the exact specifics of what Canseco claims (i.e. particular players), only time will tell and I take that with a grain of salt right now on a few of them. However, bigger picture, the general premise of his accusations are correct.
If anyone says that Canseco is an idiot as an argument that steroid use isn't as bad as he says it is, he's weakening his own case. The fact is if Canseco can be as stupid as he is and get away with it, then anyone smarter would have no trouble doing so.
I'm not just the president of the Cornbread Maxwell Fan Club, I'm also the only member.
it's kinda like gay guys....you want to keep 'm in the closet but when they get out' you just gotta except it for what it is....
Wow, which of your two completely ignorant statements to reply to first? I reckon I won't touch the gay comment, so why do you think anyone actually writes to be published? I won't even wait for you to answer - it's money.
Instead of 'name calling' mayhaps you'd like to come up with a logical explanation as to why or how my analogy is so off base.
Admitadly, it is a stretch to compare/contrast the difficulties with sexual orientation in sports and the use of steroidal drugs.
Yet, these two subjects both garner a lot of hush hush....(I thought this was a board for intelectual stimulation)...my apologies if this subject matter could be construed as polotics.
So......what round/pick did your draft select tejada?
In the book, Canseco says he injects McGwire "numerous times" with steroids. In his interview with Mike Wallace on 60 minutes, he says he only injected McGwire once or twice.
If he can't remember his own details for an interview, I highly doubt anything he has written in the book.
